Le Festival Luxembourgeois du Cyclisme Féminin se dispute durant trois jours ce week-end au Grand Duché du Luxembourg en l'honneur d'Elsy Jacobs, la championne du Monde de 1958 sur le circuit de Gueux. L'épreuve s'élançait ce vendredi en début de soirée par un prologue individuel dans les rues de Luxembourg-Ville pour le peloton de 138 concurrentes réunissant les toutes meilleures mondiales. Sur un circuit détrempé par de copieuses averses et parfois une pluie battante, la plus rapide a été la néerlandaise Annemiek Van Vleuten (Stichting Rabo Women CT) qui a devancé deux germaniques : Judith Arndt, la championne du Monde en titre du contre-la-montre, et la toujours verte Hanka Kupfernagel.
